Our solar energy solutions help businesses and property owners throughout Northern California offset electricity consumption while taking advantage of unused roof space. Find out how we were able to help this large grape grower in Napa County significantly reduce their electricity consumption with a commercial-scale system installed on their equipment building.
Offsetting Electricity Consumption with a Solar Energy System
Beckstoffer Vineyards came to us with available roof space and a goal to offset as much of their electricity consumption as possible with clean, renewable energy.
Oddly enough, we were recommended to Beckstoffer Vineyards by a customer who once consulted us about solar. For that customer, our experts determined that solar was not the best renewable energy route for them and advised them against solar. They were so impressed by our honesty and integrity that they recommended us to Beckstoffer.
The Solution: A Grid-Tied Commercial System
After consulting with the owners of Beckstoffer Vineyards about their needs and goals, our experts determined that the best solution for them was a grid-tied solar energy system, installed on top of a 5,000-square-foot equipment building. This would make efficient use of available roof space while significantly offsetting energy consumption.
The 85 kW commercial system is made up of 288 solar modules and generates an estimated 115,318 kWh per year. Because the system is grid-tied, it draws on the power grid as needed to provide uninterrupted power.
The owners of Beckstoffer Vineyards are thrilled with their solar energy system. With this new system, Beckstoffer Vineyards is seeing significantly reduced electricity consumption, resulting in lower energy bills. The new system also helps support the vineyard’s commitment to sustainable farming across their operations.
